Lawyer Review
$500 plus HST per hour
Our legal review service is significantly more affordable than full legal representation because you have already completed the most time-consuming part of the process - negotiating and drafting the agreement. Taking the additional step of lawyer review, which further ensures all necessary elements of your separation have been addressed, provides peace of mind and mitigates potential risk in the event your agreement is challenged. Introducing Simple Separation
With Simple Separation, the parties have the necessary tools to negotiate and draft the terms of their separation without lawyer involvement because you are not hiring a lawyer/law firm.
Instead, you are provided with a template Separation Agreement (with or without a Parenting Plan) that you fill out, along with a general summary of Ontario family law (the "Summary").
The Summary does not replace legal advice but is intended to familiarize users sufficiently about the law, so they can negotiate the terms of their separation in an informed manner.
This means users of Simple Separation create their own legal document.

How it works
It’s easy to get started! First, pick the type of template you need.
Fill out an information sheet, so we can send the right template agreement with a payment link.
Within 24 business hours of payment, you will receive an email with the template in Word format.
Both parties will complete the financial statement and exchange supporting financial documentation.
Fill out the template agreement with terms you and your ex-partner have agreed to.
Have the completed agreement signed and witnessed with both parties keeping an executed copy in a safe place.
